This policy explains what information is collected through kianeratne.com and how it is used. This site is operated by Kian Eratne ("I", "me") providing private tutoring services.
Information I collect
I collect information in the following ways:
- Contact form / email: if you get in touch, I collect your name, email address and anything else you choose to include in your message, so I can reply to you.
- Payments: purchases on this site are processed by Stripe. I do not collect or store your card details — Stripe handles payment data directly under its own privacy policy. I receive confirmation that a payment was made, your email address, and the product purchased, so I can provide the access code or arrange the tutoring you've booked.
- Practice pack & programme progress: your quiz answers, scores and unlocked-pack status for the 30-Day Programme and Practice Packs are stored only in your own browser's local storage. This information is never sent to me or to any server — it stays on your device and is lost if you clear your browser data.
How I use your information
I use the information above only to: respond to enquiries, deliver purchased products and access codes, arrange and run tutoring sessions, and keep basic records for tax and accounting purposes as required by law.
I do not sell, rent or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes.
Cookies and local storage
This site does not use tracking or advertising cookies. It uses your browser's local storage to remember which practice packs or programme days you've unlocked, purely so the site works as expected when you return. You can clear this at any time by clearing your browser's site data, though this will reset your unlocked progress on this device.
Third-party services
Payments are processed by Stripe. This site is hosted by Netlify. Both providers process data under their own privacy policies.
Your rights
Under UK data protection law, you have the right to ask what personal information I hold about you, to request it be corrected or deleted, and to object to how it's used. To exercise any of these rights, get in touch using the contact details below.
Data retention
Enquiry and payment records are kept only as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal/accounting obligations, after which they are deleted.
